2017 Nissan Rogue and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Models Chicago IL
You'd have to be living under a rock to not hear about the release of the latest "Star Wars" movie, "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," which hits theaters December 16, 2016. But have you heard that Nissan is producing special models of the Rogue crossover which will tie in beautifully with aspects of the movie and provide the finest crossover this side of Earth or Tatooine?
We'll cover the models that come with special "Star Wars" badging, as well as ultra-exclusive X-Wing styled models. But first, let's look at the standard 2017 Nissan Rogue specs. The 2017 Rogue is a great blend of power, safety features, and drivability, with 170 horsepower in all three trim options, 70 cubic feet for cargo, and space for up to seven passengers with the Family Package. Its available safety features include Forward Emergency Braking and Lane Departure Warning, and it has been an IIHS Top Safety Pick for four consecutive years. Now that we've seen the cool features of the 2017 Rogue, we'll look at the "Star Wars"-styled vehicles that are being produced.

Would you believe us if we told you the 2017 Nissan Rogue is the first production vehicle model to come with "Star Wars" elements? It's true, and for this new model, 5,400 special limited models are rolling out of the plant with blue "Star Wars" badges in the rear and a metal badge on the side that says "Rogue One Star Wars Limited Edition." That's not all, as you also get a highly-collectible item, a large black Death Trooper (characters in the "Rogue One" movie) helmet.
In addition to these limited edition models that will be for sale, two not-for-sale models debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2016, and we imagine they will make the rounds this next year so everyone can get a look at how cool they are. For example, the Chicago Auto Show would be a great place for Chicagoland-area Arlington Nissan shoppers to get a look at these models. One looks like an X-Wing aircraft with cool blasters and thrusters. The other is colored orange and white, like an X-Wing pilot's suit.
