2017 Nissan GT-R vs. 2016 Nissan GT-R
"Godzilla," as the Nissan GT-R has come to be known, has been crushing racetracks and city streets for years now, with no end in sight. The reason why it's so imposing and worthy of the nickname is its supreme street-burning speed and premium engine performance that emanates from a hand-crafted V6 engine in both the 2017 Nissan GT-R and the 2016 Nissan GT-R. With the 2017 model hitting lots in the summer of 2016, we'll take a look at how these two model years stack up vs. one another. Whichever one you pick, you have a sports car that will make heads turn faster than you can say "Vin Diesel" or "Fast and Furious."
The GT-R's speed is so blazing, it's the only sports car that could be paired with record-setting Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt, who serves as Nissan's Global Director of Excitement. So pop the hood of either the 2017 GT-R or the 2016 GT-R and look at its unique, hand-crafted engine, which is made with the utmost care by a single technician in a clean-room environment. With something made with this much care and by a respected name like Nissan, you know there's craftsmanship you can count on. And with 545 HP at your disposal in the 2016 GT-R, which is increased to 565 in the 2017 model, you have a serious machine at your fingertips.

The Nissan GT-R: Chicagoland's Premier Sports Car
2016 Nissan GT-R models are futuristic and powerful, with a streamlined look and 20-inch super-lightweight alloy wheels that will ensure you conquer any kind of drive. Plus, with available R-Mode drive mode you will enjoy high-performance cornering and the fastest shifts. Now that's what a sports car should look and feel like. The exterior design of the 2017 Nissan GT-R is somewhat of a revamp from the previous model, but they are practical upgrades as well, with a new reinforced hood for extra stability while driving and a larger V-motion front grille for engine cooling needs. Overall, 2017 models continue in the GT-R's tradition of futuristic-yet-ultra-sporty design, with wheels that look powerful yet light as air, and a rear spoiler. Other changes for the 2017 GT-R include the addition of available NissanConnect with navigation so you always know where you're going, and a reduction in instrument panel switches from 27 to 11 for ease of use.
No matter which model year you select, you have a car that tops out at about 200 mph with ultra-light wheels and at least 545 HP; that's a fun, nice-looking car. We are proud to have the Nissan GT-R on our lot, and we'd be happy to show you this amazing sports car that is so powerful, it's almost scary: Hence the "Godzilla" name. So come on in to look at, test drive or purchase one at Arlington Nissan, 1100 W. Dundee Road in Arlington Heights, IL.
