Fluctuating gas prices are something nobody likes to deal with, which is why more and more people are opting for smaller, more fuel-efficient sedans like the 2013 Nissan Sentra. And make no mistake about it?the list of the Sentra model's strong points almost always starts with its fuel economy. However, that's not all this vehicle has going for it; a comfortable interior, a lengthy list of great standard features, and even sporty trims for folks who like a little more pep under the hood are included among the glowing qualities of the Sentra. We here at Bob Rohrman Arlington Nissan consider this one of our most time-tested and battle-worn models, and we know it could be an excellent vehicles for many of our current and potential customers.

One of the reasons it appeals to so many different people is the fact that four different mainstream trims offer increasingly loaded versions of the Sentra, and two high-performance sport trims provide thrill-seeking drivers with everything they're looking for, too.

The mainstream trims all run on the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and include the 2.0, 2.0 S, 2.0 SR, and 2.0 SL. The base 2.0 come with a lot of the standard features you'd expect from an entry-level model: air conditioning, power everything, and a solid stereo system with auxiliary input for an MP3 player.

The other models, naturally, add features. For example, the S adds cruise control, keyless entry, and larger wheels (among other things), the SR gives the vehicle a sportier look with all kinds of fun aesthetic add-ons, and the SL does keyless entry and ignition, Bluetooth, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and satellite radio.

The sportier versions are the SE-R and the SE-R Spec V, designed specifically for performance. They both run a 2.5-liter engine that pushes out 177 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque.

All of these models come standard equipped with a ton of great safety features, including antilock brakes, stability control, active front head restraints, and plenty of airbags throughout the cabin. The SE-R models also put to use four-wheel disc brakes, while the mainstream models use rear drums instead.

As far as crash testing is concerned, the federal government was pretty impressed by the Sentra, awarding it a four-star crash rating, while the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the vehicle highest marks of "Good" for both frontal-offset and side impact crash tests. In all, this has proven to be an extremely safe vehicle for both the drivers and the passengers in the car.

We here at Bob Rohrman Arlington Nissan just feel like the 2013 Nissan Sentra is a car that a diverse cross-section of customers could really enjoy owning. Its high EPA numbers, spacious interior, easy-to-use controls, and overall safety make it a more than respectable small sedan purchase, and the fact that it's got the Nissan badge strapped right there on the front grille means you're also going to get top-notch customer services over the years of ownership. We invite you to venture down to our lot sometime soon to take one for a test drive and see for yourself how wonderful an automobile the new Sentra really is.
